We the young and not so young, we are Veterans, family of Veterans, and Canadians without military affiliation, all united to support our veterans and strengthen our community.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 86 Wetaskiwin was founded in 1930. It has been a cornerstone of the community ever since. Our core mission - ensuring Veterans and their loved ones receive the best possible support and resources needed to live healthy, fulfilling lives - remains
at the heart of everything we do. Over time, our scope of support has evolved from exclusively serving war Veterans to becoming a broad community service organization using our volunteer base and facilities to support a wide range of local needs.
The Royal Canadian Legion is fundamentally about connection and belonging - membership is one of our key tenets. Legion 86 is a friendly place, welcoming everyone with holiday
celebrations, drop-in activities, fundraising events, educational workshops, and social affairs such as dances, barbecues, entertainment and a host of special events suitable for all ages. Our branch offers unique experiences and lasting connections through
our diverse veteran support and advocacy initiatives, Remembrance
activities, and community projects.
The Legion 86 community would love
to welcome YOU, so why not drop in to our Legion branch and see what it's all
about. Connect with inspiring
individuals and enjoy unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. As a
member, you help us support a vital cause. You will be part of a national network of over 270,000 Canadians
who believe that supporting our Veterans and their families, strengthening our communities, and promoting Remembrance are fundamental to living in a free society.
